The Reincarnation of Me - WORDS

Two years...I can hardly believe it! A Sabbatical? No. A Hiatus? No. Ran out of things to say...hardly. Tired of saying them? Maybe. In any case I am back, for a while or forever...I can't commit since I gave up on time. Being limited by it, defined by it, or motivated by it. I am here for the moment and if you are reading this...I am glad you are too.

I will begin this re-entry into blogdom with an observation on, what else, the 2008 Presidential race. YAWN...Ho Hum...yes, I know...it's been done to death. However, being a wordsmith and a lifelong investigator of the "meaning" behind words (often barely veiled) - the verbiage being "artfully" and strategically positioned via the media, has proven compelling fodder for the "decoder"in me.

I have recently been enlightened to the fact that we now live in a "Post Racial" society. Hmmm...I guess I missed that transition somewhere. I am indebted to the white, liberal, entitled, pundits who have been diligently promoting this theory on air. Almost to a pundit, they have used their children's "colorblindness" as proof of the "NPRS" (New Post Racial Society).

I am sure that Matthew Jr.'s baggy jeans, high end footwear, and ball capped doo ragged head, has helped to promote this theory. Perhaps, it is Tiffany's penchant for the tanning salon, desire for booty implants, weekly nail appointments, and pseudo-ebonic riddled lingo, has convinced our pundits.

Perhaps the NPRS was the keynote address at the last Parent's Night at the Ivy League Prep School where Junior attends. Somehow, I think "Post Racial" may be difficult to recognize in such a rarefied environment.

So I pose just 2 question to all the "Post Racial" pundits:

  • Does Hillary Clinton's constant description of Senator Obama as "inexperienced", despite his background as a community activist and Illinois politician, sound oddly like a non-post racial description of a Black man as a "Boy". I mean, think of it like a crossword puzzle: what is another name for an "inexperienced" male? BOY.

  • When Cindy McCain finds every opportunity (5 months later) to chastise Michelle Obama for her "the first time (in my adult life), I am proud to be an American" comment, then acts completely offended by it, offers this in praise of Michelle Obama; "She is a wonderful mother". Does this comment, in light of the fact that Michelle Obama is cum laude Princeton graduate, a Harvard educated lawyer, an Assistant Dean, a C-level Executive, among just a few accolades, have another connotation? Somehow, I hear a condescending "OH, she is such a good Mamie, our babies used to suckle from her kind."

Now, if you asked me there is nothing more noble than Motherhood...nothing more important but, my "post racial" ears hear something very "Willie Lynch-like" in the verbiage of the 2008 campaign.

Any marketing professional will tell you that words are anything but mere words. Words hold nuance, words hold double entendre, words hold perception, words transform thought and opinion. Words have been the primary tool of codes and brainwashing for centuries.

This 2008 Campaign...the campaign of the media power brokers...the campaign of the political pundits...the campaign of the talking heads. So many voices to hear but, listen to what is left unsaid.

FLOSSIN' aka Financial Fakes

Ever heard anyone say "If you got it...flaunt it"? Well, I am one who believes if you really got it - there's no need to flaunt it.

This applies to all those living a "fake" existence for external validation. If you are rollin' on rims, platinum chains around your neck, drinking Cristal (by a totally racist/elitist manufacturer), sportin' designer clothes...whether you live on section 8 or have actually really made it big...but you are morally, spiritually, intellectually, and ethically bankrupt....read this:

The Rants of Andy Looney (oooops - Rooney)

THIS WAS EMAILED TO ME SAYING "I HOPE THIS DOESN'T OFFEND YOU BUT...' FRANKLY-I AM NOT OFFENDED BY IGNORANCE...SADDENED BY IT? - MAYBE...SURPRISED BY IT? - NEVER...COMPELLED TO CONFRONT IT? - I'M PAST THE POINT OF ENGAGING IN DIALOG WITH THE IGNORANT - BUT FEEL FREE TO HAVE AT IT!

Andy Rooney said on "60 Minutes" a few weeks back:

I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the UnitedCaucasianCollege Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens...Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.

Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.

I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, that is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE?

I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion. I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off.

When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability.

I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English!

My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.

I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry ass if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines.

I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.

We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.

I don't hate the rich I don't pity the poor.

I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them.

I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building.

It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say "NO!"

I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!

I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else And if you don't like my point of view, tough...
I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG, OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!

An Overdue Tribute

This is the black pilot that flew the plane that went down in Pennsylvania.
No one ever gave him tribute. They always talked about every one else.
This is the first picture of him that I have seen. In case you have not seen his photograph or heard his name, click on the link below. He is the pilot that flew the plane in Pennsylvania on September 11,2001.

In Honor and Memory of Leroy Homer.

SKULL & BONES - ONE WORLD ORDER

It seems so many of the “enlightened”* black blogs are engaged in debating politics. Democrats vs. Republicans. The “new” Black Republican. Democrats speaking to Black issues. Etc., etc.

While I defend your right to have such discussions, either the cynic or the realist in me has a hard time believing any intelligent person thinks it makes a difference. That any party, politician, leader, speaks to Black issues…let alone “gives a damn”.

The agenda is so much bigger than that. Know the truth about “who runs this sh*t” -
http://www.parascope.com/articles/0997/skullbones.htm.

There has been a lot on the blogosphere and the net, in general, on the release of “Loose Change” about the events of 9/11…Yes, you might say it sounds like one more “conspiracy theory” but, there is a method to the madness.

In James Shelby Downard's article, "Sorcery, Sex, Assassination and the Science of Symbolism ," Downard contends that the assassination of JFK was the performance of a public occult ritual called The Killing of the King, designed as a mass-trauma, mind-control assault against our U.S. national body-politic.

Mr. Downward feels that the perpetrators purposefully murdered JFK in such a way as to affect our National identity and cohesiveness -- to fracture America's soul. Even the blatancy of their conspiracy was designed to show "their superiority" and "our futility".

Sounds very similar to the effects of 9/11, A fracture of our soul, fracture of our psyche, leaving us weak and vulnerable to the whims of those truly in control.

Hmmmm…sounds familiar to the agenda against African Americans from Slavery to Today….Willie Lynch…A fracture of the soul…A fracture of the psyche…left weak and vulnerable to their control…

….Conspiracy Theory????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

*(Defined as: Any blog NOT discussing the latest release of a CD, Whose been seen with whom, If Russell and Kimora split, What Beyonce wore to an award show, What drink they drank at the club last night, or a pseudo-discussion of “relationships” between men and women with an intention to look “sensitive” (for a brother) or “self-sufficient/confident” (for a sister) - in order to attract a member of the opposite sex (basically a blog chat room).

The "N" Word - A practice of self-defamation

(CLICK ON THE BANNER TO VIEW THIS POWERFUL VIDEO)

"What happened in our community that the "N" word is tossed around freely in everyday language? When the use of it makes you cool, down, accepted.

Our community has come full circle as we extend an invitation to others to call us the "N" word as well and we answer with a smile. Our ancestors must be rocking in their graves. The "N" word is not a term of endearment. It cannot be reapropriated. We cannot redefine the "N" word or re-spell it to make it positive.'

PERVASIVE: This photo is from a remote African Village where two enterprising entrepreneurs are selling U.S. Urban Clothes (FUBU, Phat Farm, Sean John, ENYCE, etc.). Note: the name of their "boutique".

CRASH - An Oscar for White Supremacy

I almost NEVER go to movies. I don't rent them, I don't buy them, I don't cable them in. I have friends that can literally recite dialog verbatim from every movie over the last decade.

I feel about movies, like I do about church...unless I am going to walk away impacted in a way that changes my life...I'm not interested.

Not that I haven't seen some movies I have enjoyed or been moved by - I have. I just can't sit through thousands of innocous, time-consuming, garbage to find one. Besides I am a bit too much of a realist to be swept away into another dimension.

The movies that have impacted me have kind of "found me". People who know me (or think they do) will often tell me "Of ALL the People I know...YOU must see..." So it was with CRASH.

And Crash did impact me but, not in the way those who think they know me expected. A Think Piece in The Black Commentator says it all.

And Remember: Truth is truth - no matter who espouses it.
